BEI handled operations in Ain-Sokhna with Al-Ezz Flat Steel from 2003 until August 2013, and has seen the scope of work considerably increase in recent years to include material handling, scrap management, and comprehensive metal recovery.

Metal recovery consisted of slag handling, cutting of steel blocks, oversize & overweight scrap, rejected slabs and return coils, and breaking up cast iron.
